Ethan Martin

President

Strategic Planning & Executive Coaching

Ethan Martin is Founder & President of PFD Group, Inc. and a Gazelles International coach. His focus is helping high growth companies identify their strategic goals, build high performing teams, and execute their plans, by leveraging his expertise in corporate leadership, entrepreneurial start-ups and private equity senior roles.

He is a sound strategic thinker who works tirelessly to provide clients top quality service and support. He measures his performance by his clients’ financial returns, impact on their communities and internal team trust.

He works ON the business instead of IN the business, allowing CEOs the freedom to devote 80% of their time to what “gives” them energy. Many of his projects include helping clients build the culture they have always wanted through an employee focused, high trust, transparent approach. Through client engagements and previous senior leadership roles he has found a high correlation between clearly defined values and company performance.

Over his 20 year career, Ethan has played an active role in business development, airline mergers and acquisitions, supply chain optimization and industry forecasts. He co-founded a private equity firm, Denver Growth Partners (DGP) and has overseen investments for DGP, CATSHOT Group and PFD Group. He is familiar with all aspects of the due diligence process having evaluated over 100 acquisitions and has a talent for post-acquisition growth. He has started three companies and has a track record of creating and implementing high growth strategies that attract investors.  He has helped larger companies with enterprise lean startup.

Ethan and his group offer strategic planning and support emphasizing:

●       People - matching the right people with clearly defined desired outcomes

●       Planning - setting strategic goals, metrics and alignment, and acquisition due diligence

●       Legacy - reinforcing the CEO's and investors' long term goals and giving back

●       Employee engagement - identifying individual growth plans and community involvement

●       Advisory boards - helping to design, select and support for sales growth and strategic guidance

Ethan earned his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and was selected to be a host fellow for the Center for Private Equity and Entrepreneurship. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Carleton College where he received a B.A. in Economics and served as President of the Flying Club and President of the Carlton Management Partners Organization.

Ethan is a Certified Flight Instructor and active supporter of child-focused non-profits in the Denver area and a previous member of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO). He was the co-chair of the 2014 EO Rocky Mountain Entrepreneurial Summit featuring Marcus Luttrell and served on the planning team for the record breaking EO 2015 Western Region Alchemy Conference.

Ethan is the founder and CEO of the Aviation Community Foundation.  Together with their partner organizations, they are helping 1,000,000 underserved students create flight plans for life.
