Ethan Martin is Founder & President of PFD Group, Inc. and a  Scaling Up / Rockefeller Habits certified and 3HAG certified coach. Ethan has a passion serving high growth companies that focus on bettering their communities and the world, by helping these companies identify their strategic goals, build high performing teams, and execute their plan. He serves his clients by leveraging his expertise in corporate leadership, entrepreneurial start-ups and private equity senior roles, and by measuring his performance by his clients’ financial returns, internal team trust, and impact on their communities.

Ethan supports leadership teams to focus ON the business instead of IN the business, allowing CEOs the freedom to devote 80% of their time to what “gives” them energy and to spend more time with customers. Many of his projects include helping clients build the culture they have always wanted through an employee focused, high trust, transparent approach. Through client engagements and previous senior leadership roles, he has found a high correlation between clearly defined values and company performance.

Ethan and his team offer strategic planning and coaching with emphasis on:

Ethan has had a long history as an entrepreneur - he has experience in starting and selling multiple companies, and experience with private equity. Ethan has also had seven years of experience in Entrepreneurs Organization (EO). He was the co-chair of several regional EO learning events, including the 2014 EO Rocky Mountain Entrepreneurial Summit featuring Marcus Luttrell, and he served on the planning team for the record breaking EO 2015 Western Region Alchemy Conference. Ethan also has experience in the social sector, as he founder and Board Member of the Aviation Community Foundation (ACF). ACF, with its partner organizations, is helping 1,000,000 underserved students create flight plans for life.

Ethan earned his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and was selected to be a host fellow for the Center for Private Equity and Entrepreneurship. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Carleton College where he received a B.A. in Economics.

Ethan lives in Colorado with his wife and two sons. He is a Certified Flight Instructor, and he loves to fly airplanes, teach, and travel. Ethan spends all the time he can in the mountains - as he also loves hiking, camping, and skiing.

John Wood

Senior Consultant

Strategic Planning, CEO Succession Planning, Mergers & Acquisitions

John served eighteen years as chief executive officer of several publicly traded companies and enjoys leveraging his experience to coach and mentor high growth companies and CEOs. He successfully managed international businesses involving complex emerging technologies and has been responsible for several turnarounds including, Peek Traffic Ltd., a troubled company with eighteen operations in ten different countries. John increased Peek’s cash flow from zero to $23 million in one year.

John has a strong operations background with demonstrated skill in internal as well as acquired growth. He currently serves as an independent director on several public boards. Previously, from 2003 – 2006, John was CEO of Analogic Corp. (NASDAQ:ALOG), a $400 million maker of medical imaging and airport security products. John is a veteran public speaker and writer. He served as company spokesman with high-profile print, television and radio exposure during investigations of the PanAm 103 and TWA 800 crashes. He has twice testified before U.S. Congress regarding improved airport security.

John holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Louisiana Tech University. He was named the University’s outstanding engineering alumnus in 1996. He earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. John is rated as an airline transport pilot and certified flight instructor. He has made several crossings over the North Atlantic in his plane and enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters.

Emmalee Harper

Director of Client Success

Emmalee Harper is the Director of Client Success for the PFD Group. In her role, she provides support and value to our clients, and helps plan events for our broader business community. Emmalee also has a flair for design, and she helps to create visual assets for PFD and our clients.

Emmalee is passionate about bringing authenticity into the work space - creating meaningful connections between people to better workplace and client experience. She values efficiently producing quality work to maximize value and exercising creativity to find the best solutions to workplace challenges. Emmalee is especially passionate about upward mobility and leveraging her career to help people in underserved communities.

Emmalee studied at Regis University in Denver, acquiring a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Born and raised in Colorado, Emmalee has always loved the mountains, and she loves hiking and rock climbing. As other expressions of her adoration for art and design, Emmalee draws, paints, takes photographs and videos, creates artworks on digital applications, and decorates cakes.


Monique Stelly

Executive Assistant

Monique Stelly is an Executive Assistant in charge of administrative tasks at PFD Group such as email and calendar management as well scheduling. Monique’s organizational skills help to support the whole PFD team in driving their visions to achievement. She believes that utilizing tools to their maximum efficiency helps to keep everything running smoothly, and this is a daily goal she sets for herself and her work.
Monique graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a degree in Creating Writing. She has since done freelance copywriting/editing which lends itself to her true passion, writing.
She currently resides in Greenville, SC with her husband and two children and enjoys reading, writing and hanging out with her family as much as possible.

Events & Special Projects

At PFD Group, Joanna excels at coordinating events and marketing, and executing special projects. Joanna has a way of adding a creative spin to any marketing pieces, and her creative edge helps bring projects to a new life. Joanna brings a great amount of expertise from the strategic coaching community, and has nearly 20 years of experience in administrative and marketing roles.

Joanna graduated from Quinnipiac University with a Bachelors in Marketing and Minor in Advertising. Joanna resides in Connecticut with her three daughters. In her free time, she loves to try new activities, restaurants, and events, and she also enjoys blogging.
